Format the memory stick: First things is that you will have to format a memory stick before you can use it. To format the memory stick, press the ‘home’ button at the lower left of your psp screen. Then choose the option ‘setting’ at the left arrow key. Next, choose the option
‘system settings icon’ at the down arrow key and then press the X button. Press the down arrow key to select the
‘format memory stick’ icon and then click X button again to select it. You will now‚ see a note on the screen prompting you to proceed with the re-format the memory stick. This is way erasing important files by user in psp device can be prevented in case mistakenly selects to re-format option. To continue with re-format, press
‘yes’ and press X button again to execute it. It takes almost 5-10 seconds, depending on your memory stick capacity, to re-formatting process.

Connect PSP to your computer: The next important step is to connect your personal psp device to personal computer by using the USB cable. After the successful connection both using the USB cable, Click the
‘home’ button at the bottom left of the psp screen and scroll left to select the option
‘settings’ column. Scroll down to option ‘USB connection’ and press X. The memory stick inside the psp device will be connected and shown onto your computer screen.

Download music videos to your PSP: Make sure that you copy the music video file to the correct folder in the psp. The correct file formate should be MP_Root>100MNV01. If you save them elsewhere, the music video files will not be played back properly. You will simply have to manually create MP_Root>100MNV01 folder If it is not available, so that your music video file will work. The psp music video files for example M4V must be always named starting with M4V and ends with five random numbers such as M4V67890. The same method should be used for the THM (thumbnail) files.

Once you have completed downloaded the files, disconnect your psp device from your computer. To watch the music video files, scroll down to the option
‘Video’ column of your psp device and press X. You can now watch your downloaded music videos that you have converted to your psp device. Repeat the above steps for additional music videos that you want to convert to your psp device.
